Phillip Maurer

Phillip Maurer serves as Vice President of Lending Innovation & Market Expansion at BKR H/LL, where he partners with the EVP of Lending Innovation to expand into new market segments and drive business growth. With nearly a decade in the fintech space and more than 16 years as a commercial lender, Phillip is known for cultivating lasting relationships with financial institutions and tailoring solutions that meet their unique needs. His approach combines deep industry knowledge with a personal touch, ensuring that every client engagement is grounded in both innovation and trust.

After earning a degree in Communications from the University of Iowa, Phillip began his career in banking, serving community and enterprise banks as a commercial lender. His work built strong connections with businesses of all sizes and the communities they serve. In 2016, he joined nCino as a Regional Vice President, where he helped financial institutions create efficiency gains in their processes and became a certified speaker, representing the company at conferences nationwide. Phillip joined BKR H/LL in 2024 as a Regional Vice President and was promoted to Vice President in 2025, where he continues to deliver state-of-the-art lending solutions and nurture client partnerships long after the initial sale.

Outside of work, Phillip prioritizes family life with his wife, two young children, and two dogs. An avid golfer, he enjoys playing new courses whenever he has the chance, and he is also a three-time euchre league champion. Whether rounding out a foursome on the course or partnering for a card game, Phillip brings the same spirit of connection, fun, and dedication that he does to his professional role.
